Cross-Platform Font Converters

CrossFont (shareware, PC only - http://www.asy.com)

TransType - (available for both Mac® and PC http://www.fontlab.com) Free demo available for download.

Both CrossFont and TransType offer basic PC to Mac and Mac to PC font conversion. They both work very similarly. When working on the PC converting PC fonts to Mac fonts they generate MacBinary files which you can port to a Macintosh®. Similarly, when working on the PC converting Mac fonts to PC fonts they require font files in MacBinary format from the Mac. MacBinary files can be encoded (for porting to the PC) and decoded (after porting from the PC) on the Macintosh using one of the decoding programs mentioned here.
